I am a Hudson Valley resident and a musician/engineer since I can remember. I've worked and performed in venues, studios and theaters my whole life (pronouns "dude/man"). Historically, most of my work comes through word of mouth, but I took an interest in coding and built myself a webpage. I've earned my stripes from coffee boy and stagehand to touring and department management, but I am never above getting my hands dirty. I can often be found taking apart, repairing or modifying electronic equipment, vehicles, carpentry and (lately) software and code. Engineering, with a proclivity towards music and community, have driven all my personal and professional endeavors.
more + -I have eight years of concert and private event venue Production Manager experience and over a decade as a Professional audio engineer. Proficient in most contemporary digital and analog sound equipment, I also have experience in both studio and live formats, including large scale touring. I've done over 1500 medium to large scale concerts, hundreds of additional weddings and private events and several dozen studio recordings with (some) credits listed at Discogs.
If you are interested in hiring me to produce, record, mix or play on your next album, if you are in need of a production logistics and technical director for public and private events, or if you just need a music and engineering professional to support you through your creative process - send me some demos or released recordings. If there is any way I can help connect artists, engineers and communities, I do not charge middle-man fees. Feel free to get in touch. Please... don't leave me a voicemail. An email or text is a fine way to reach out.
For a brief period, I handled booking and contract negotiations for local programming at City Winery Hudson Valley, and although this was not my typical trajectory, I enjoy curating a scene. That experience has been invaluable when handling show deals and agents. At the same time, I also handled the web aspect creating ticketing pages through Vivenu. I've continued working on web design for various side projects, which I plan on including here soon, as I continue my studies in computer science and Cybersecurity certifications.
Through the planning and working of nearly all angles of event production for concerts, festivals, weddings and corporate events of all sizes, I tend to be very dynamic in the work I choose to take on. I carry audio equipment appropriate for venues up to 500 capacity and a modest selection of boutique inventory of personal backline and recording gear, including a Tascam 34B 4-track tape recorder and a 32/16 IO mobile live sound & recording setup complete with a remote power rig. My studio mic collection includes Neumann, Royer, DPA, Shure, Beyerdynamic, Electrovoice and sE. I have a few studios I work out of in Saugerties, Accord and Brooklyn. I also invite you to my home in upstate NY to make some outdoor recordings, capturing the sounds of nature.
I've since moved on from full-time management and am available as an independent engineer or collaborator between the rotating roster of artists and venues I regularly work with.
Please feel free to reach out to discuss your upcoming project.
